How is your career journey? How did you end up there, were you coached on how to pick a career? Finding a career you love is difficult for just about everyone. You can find some tips form the Huffington Post. It is a long-term decision that affects almost everything in your life.  When taking this decision there are many factors to consider most importantly what you love and enjoy. Everybody wants to know how to pick a career path that will make them happy and fulfilled, but it is difficult to determine what that exact career is?

Research has revealed human beings are very poor at predicting what they feel passionate about. It’s easy to find someone who loves their career at first, only to end up hating it later on. How can you know if you will be fulfilled as a banker, lecturer, or businessman if you haven’t tried out any of these professions? Is there a reliable method of how to pick a career one loves?

Working in a career you love can lead to an increase in self-confidence, happiness, productivity, and a positive impact on your organization. Martin Yan said, “When you do what you enjoy, work becomes play.” You need to know how to find a career you love and enjoy.

I have a friend who spent over 8 years working in a bank, she was in marketing and sales and was great at it. She had good customer relationship skills, fantastic marketing strategies and always surpassed her sales targets. Everything seemed so rosy for her. The job paid her bills, and it was an admirable career path. However, she didn’t love what she was doing.

She learned a lot on the job and it brought her in contact with many influential people. I envied her because she looked like she had it all. She, however, was envying people who did what they loved. People so passionate about their work, they wanted to give their best every time. She wanted to be one of those people. She needed to know how to find a career she’d love and excel in.

She finally found it. She quit her well-paying bank job and started her own digital marketing business. It’s been over three years, and while there has been a lot of challenges along the way, she is full of confidence because she is doing what she really loves.
